Getting the right fit when choosing new ski boots is easier today than it ever was before. Flex measurement is now a scientific art; and you can use measurement charts to make sure that you get a perfectly fitting skiboot even when you’re ordering online.

The same techniques for ensuring a good fit work equally well when choosing snow boots or snowboarding boots, because the criteria for your choice will be the same whichever type of snow sport boot you want to buy.
Finding the Perfect Skiboot

To ensure an enjoyable day on the slopes it’s critically important to make sure that you buy boots which fit just right.

The right size of boot for you will depend on whether you are buying boots which already have a cozy thermal or fur lining, or whether you prefer to keep your feet warm by using foot warmers or extra ski socks!

If socks are your choice for keeping warm, then you will need to buy a very slightly larger size of boot than would otherwise be the correct size for you.

Buying the exactly right size ski boot is essential.

If your skiboots are fractionally too small you’ll be uncomfortable, and your balance may be affected, which will make it much harder for you to ski comfortably and well.

On the other hand, if you buy a boot which is very slightly too large, your feet will get blistered and your toes will hurt because your foot will slide around very slightly in the boot, and your toes will keep on getting stubbed every time that happens.
